A Brief History

Welcome  to New Horizons Music Ensembles of Grand Rapids.  Our ensembles (New Horizons Band, Ransom Street Big Band, Horizons Too, String Ensemble, Beginner Swing Band) are members of the New Horizons International Music Association (NHIMA). Founded in Grand Rapids in 1999 with just 13 members, the organization grew rapidly and currently numbers over 90 musicians.
