The New Horizons Symphonic Band provides musical challenges for more advanced players of woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments. The repertoire of this group ranges from Sousa marches, Holst suites, and musical theatre pieces to some of the newest literature written by living composers for wind band.
The Symphonic Band rehearses on Mondays from 9:30 to 10:50 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 3215 4 Mile Rd. at East Beltline, Grand Rapids, MI. You are welcome to stay and try out playing with our Concert Band–join us for coffee at 10:50 to 11:15 and play from 11:15 to 12:30.
