From time to time, members of the Symphonic Band and the Concert Band will be formed into groups to have some fun with music literature for smaller ensembles. The rehearsal time is usually on Mondays between the regular band rehearsals and there is no cost to the members for this voluntary activity. This Woodwind Ensemble or Brass Ensemble has fluid membership each semester as players are available. When possible, one or both groups may participate in a major concert with the other bands. Each is also available to go to outreach venues to entertain especially when the venue can only hold a small number of players, usually about twelve.
