New Horizons Concert Band includes intermediate-level musicians who are comfortable with most scales and moderately challenging rhythms. The rehearsal is paced to include time spent learning to play together as an ensemble with attention to intonation and phrasing. Careful consideration is given to the music played by this group in order to make it fun, challenging and rewarding.
Members of New Horizons Concert Band join with members of the New Horizons Symphonic Band to perform outreach programs as the New Horizons Band.
The Concert Band rehearses on Mondays from 11:15 to 12:30 p.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 3215 4 Mile Rd. at East Beltline, Grand Rapids, MI. Come early and join us for coffee at 10:50 to 11:15.
