The Ransom Street Ramblers were formed in 2021 as an offshoot of the Ransom Street Big Band. The group entertains audiences with traditional Dixieland music. The instrumental make-up of the Ramblers (most but not all are members of West Michigan New Horizons Music Ensembles) is very limited: a cornet, clarinet, tenor sax, trombone, piano, bass and drum players. The members are retired and from all walks of life, including many from the field of professional music.
